Kabocha Squash Fries

Male Introductions Lynwood

Instead of regular french fries, try these kabocha squash fries instead. They taste great and are better for you. They taste sweet and nutty and are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They go well with a lot of different dipping sauces.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small kabocha squash
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: spices like paprika, garlic powder, or cayenne pepper

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 425F 220C

Cut the kabocha squash in half and take out the seeds

Cut the squash into thin pieces that look like french fries

Toss the squash fries in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other spices you want to use until they are well covered

Place the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper

Flip the fries over every 15 minutes or so for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy

Enjoy while hot
